Trainer Battles is a feature in Pokemon Go game online that gives trainers the opportunity to fight against each other with different rules compared to Gym or Raid Battles. There is a shield that trainers can use to block highly charged attacks from opponents. Before taking part in the battle feature, trainers must first choose 1 league that has a maximum CP limit for Pokemon that can be played.
Trainers can challenge each other using the Battle Code to form a team consisting of 3 Pokemon to achieve victory in the battle. Completing the match, both trainers can get big prizes including Stardust to improve Pokemon abilities. Even lucky trainers can get rare evolution items.
Battle League
There are 3 leagues that can be chosen to start a battle between trainers, namely the Big League, Ultra League and Master League. Great League and Ultra League must be opened by both trainers with the minimum requirements that have been set. Apart from that, each trainer can only bring 3 Pokemon to carry out the battle. The battles are fast-paced in real time, and the Pokemon team chosen by the trainer can use Charged Attack to paralyze the enemy effectively. It is possible that you or your opponent’s player can use an attack shield to block your opponent’s attack.
If the specified time limit has been reached in the match, but both trainers still have surviving Pokemon, then the winner will be determined from the fewest knockouts or the least amount of damage suffered by the Pokemon. Trainers usually find another Trainer in a nearby tab to start a Trainer Battle, but Ultras and Companions can challenge each other from any distance. Fighting against other Trainers adds new options to increase your friendship, similar to participating in a Raid Battle together or exchanging Gifts.
Team Leader Battles
In the online Pokemon Go game, there are 3 leaders who help Professor Willow, namely Spark, Candela, and Blanche who are ready to fight anytime and anywhere. Trainers who train with the Team Leader can get a prize once a day. Apart from that, there is an opportunity for trainers to get a Trainer Medal.
Each Team leader has the same set of Pokemon as against the Gym Leader in the main series games. They will always block the first two Charged Attacks used against them with a protective shield in Master League, but in the other two cases, they still never use a shield. Each Leader has different types of Pokemon to train trainers, namely Candela, Fire type, Spark, Electric type, Blanche, Water type and Ice. Their Pokemon have different fast attacks and Charged Attacks every time the trainer fights, although kings only have 1 attack in the same battle.

The amount of Stardust given is the same for all three leagues in Trainer Battles, but in Team Leader Battles, Great League only gives 300/600 Stardust, and 400/800 for Ultra League.
